KATO’s Hammer Jeans Hit the Nail On The Head

Denim purists, avert your eyes. Everyone else, stay tuned, because I have a pair of jeans that couldn’t scream summertime more if they tried. Let me introduce you to Hiroshi Kato’s Hammer Straight jeans in ecru.

Crafted from a cotton/polyurethane mix, Hiroshi Kato’s four-way stretch Hammer Straight denim jeans are inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. The fabric, which originates from one of the oldest denim mills in Japan, has been specially developed by blending a unique four-way stretch material with premium selvedge denim, creating a robust, premium denim fabric with just a little bit of give.

To get the ivory-like color, Hiroshi Kato has taken its beige denim and washed it down to soften and lighten the fabric. What you’re left with is a beautiful, washed-out shade of ecru, perfect for chucking on with a pair of roughout suede boots and a black tee in the warmer months. If you can’t bear to part with your denim when things get a little hot, then these are a solid pick-up. Not everyone can handle a pair of rigid 21 ouncers in the depth of summer, you know. Give us a break.

Available for $248 from Hiroshi-Kato.
