Blue In Green Welcomes TCB To Its Roster

TCB, the heritage denim and workwear darling, has been added to the ranks at legendary New York boutique Blue in Green.

TCB was started by Hajime Inoue Kojima in 2008 and stands for “Two Cats Brand”. Inspired by workwear from the 1920s to 1970s, the brand doesn’t make exact reproductions, instead pulling from several different references—as well as personal flairs of cat-related creativity—to create a single product. But it’s not just about the appearance; superior construction is a core component of TCB. For example, they only use proprietary fabrics which are custom loomed in Okayama based on vintage samples. Not to mention the brand’s incorporation of vintage machines throughout the process whenever possible, like the Union Special.

With all this in mind, it’s really no surprise that our friends over in Soho, NY are introducing them. One of the pioneers in the brick-and-mortar raw denim scene, Blue in Green recognized the unmatched quality of product coming out of Japan before most others and showcased it in the raw denim desert that was the US in 2006. Stocking heavy hitters like ONI, Pure Blue Japan, and Samurai, as well as making their own stuff under the same name, BiG is at the heart of the raw denim community today.

So, if you’re after classic denim from iconic periods like the 20s, 50s, and 60s, rare WWII-inspired pants — and classic workwear staples — all with heaps of character — well, you know what to do.

Prices start at $205 over at Blue In Green.
