The Japanese indigo ambassadors at UES are back with a selection of made-in-Japan jean jackets to suit all your denim needs. From spinning and dying to weaving and construction, every 14.9oz. of these blue bad boys is made in Japan. This series of jackets is based on the most popular denim jacket silhouettes from the twentieth century and run the gamut from the workwear infused W901-J to the causal contemporary W903-J.

The W901-J, based on the famed Type I, is made from UES’ standard 14.9oz denim. With a left chest pocket, cinch back with reinforced rivets, and a pleated back yoke, it’s got all the hallmarks of a classic. Cut in a shorter and boxier silhouette, this heritage heavyweight is ready to be put to work in order to yield some killer fades.

The W902-J has a similar yet asymmetrical design with right & left chest pockets and the cinch back has been replaced with waist adjuster tabs. For a more refined fit, this ’50s-infused classic is based on the popular Type II. Lastly, the W903-J borrows elements of the 1960s Type III jacket including two chest pockets and V-shaped body construction. While the arms have been given a slimmer silhouette, the body of the jacket is constructed for ease of movement. So whether you’re wanting to put the work into workwear or go with a contemporary classic that has a more modern fit, there’s something for everyone in the latest UES offering.
