Muller & Bros Lays Out a SoCal-Inspired All-Rayon Shirt

Costa Mesa is a neighborhood in Orange County, California (which I’d hastily called San Diego before a gracious reader pointed out my error, lol). Growing up in Southern California, I don’t remember any of these Muller & Bros Costa Messa Shirts hanging around amidst the swathe of Hurley tees and Quicksilver board shorts, but I’m all for them.

They’re lightweight and breezy thanks to their all-rayon fabric, short sleeves, and open collar, AKA ideal post-beach, pre-carne-asada-burrito attire. They come with two chest pockets (one for your Ray Bans, the other presumably for the keys to your ’98 Camry), mother-of-pearl cateye buttons, and an understated, non-Hawaiian windowpane check pattern that won’t distract from that sick Rusty logo tee early-aughts Gerald would’ve been rocking.

Available for £249 (~$320USD) at Clutch Cafe.
