Levi’s Shrink-To-Fit 501 jeans are a gold – scratch that – blue standard within the raw denim community. For today’s Fade of the Day, Mr. Ag from Malaysia has provided us with a perfect example of why.
Mr. Ag has been conservative with washes and soaks and the results are impressive. With only one wash and two soaks, these jeans are still chock-full of indigo. However, thanks to over two years of consistent wear (even as he sleeps), Mr.Ag has coaxed out enough indigo to create grainy, shadowy, robust fades throughout.
Major fade areas include the contrasted honeycombs behind the knees and knee fades that show just how active Mr. Ag has been and how hard he’s tried to bust these jeans. The denim has won out, for now.
