3sixteen and Schott Pare Down and Perk Up the Perfecto Jacket

Leather jackets are one of those things that requires you to be cool enough to wear. Sometimes, though, a leather jacket comes along that’s just too cool NOT to wear. Made in extremely limited quantities (100, to be exact), contemporary brand 3sixteen has knocked on the door of Schott NYC once again to make just the jacket that’s cool enough for everyone.

The jacket is built on the classic 519 “Perfecto” model and features Arabica cowhide leather from Horween which boasts, as the name implies, a beautiful dark coffee color. It’s a leather tanned exclusively just for 3sixteen and it’s got a hard “sugary” surface that will break up and show off patina early. The familiar double rider silhouette has an asymmetrical zipper, inside pocket, slash pockets, and a coin pocket. But they’ve done away with some of the usual 519 accoutrements like the leather belt and, thankfully, the epaulets, paring down the perfecto to a simpler rendition.

The two cherries on top of this already sweet collab are a Japanese chambray lining which showcases the selvedge down the center seam, as well as a custom snap cap by Good Art HLYWD in Los Angeles.
