Good day, fade fans! Today we’ve got a pair of well-loved jeans sent over to us from Taiwan by Heddels reader Chen, who’s worn these Naked & Famous Super Skinny Guy Left Hand Twill Selvedge’s for the last year and a half with considerable results.
Similar to performing timely oil changes to your car or watering you house plants every day, Chen knows that the key to getting the most life out of his jeans is taking good care of them. For him, that means hand washing them using Samurai Jeans Thunder Soap, a special, natural denim detergent that you won’t find at your local Walmart.
All of his hard work and daily wear has paid off in the form of solid fade patterns from top to bottom and front to back. We see a lightened blue cast overall, with a couple of large whiskers in the waist that lead down to the nicely faded thighs and knees. Turn ’em over and you get a special surprise, as Chen’s been rocking a N&F logo in his back pocket for the duration of his wear time that now shines right through.
And of course, what would a great pair of jeans be without some honeycombs? These are sharp and tight, and look to still have plenty of room to keep growing.
