Older Brother’s Geri Shirt is Indigo-Dyed and Literally Made of Paper

Casual styling meets natural processes at the Portland-based, Los Angeles-made label Older Brother. Designing their clothes for people as a whole and meant to be worn by whoever wants to wear them, they utilize a variety of eco friendly materials and methods to help define their brand. Their latest offering is this Geri Shirt in Indigo — perfect as you shift gears into the sunny days of summer just around the corner.

The Geri Shirt is constructed from an indigo dyed tencel-washi-fabric, meaning yes, it is part paper. This light and airy fabric is cut in a loose, meant-to-be-worn-oversize fit, great for layering or rocking open-chested at the beach house. It features a rounded collar with single button closure, a single front chest patch pocket, and a straight back yoke. It’s simple and minimalistic, but each piece is unique due to the nature of natural indigo dyeing.

Available for $275 at Unionmade.
